About Red Leaf

Real value. Real nutrition.

A pet food that reflects a true commitment

Who are we?

Red Leaf started the way a lot of Canadian ideas do, a couple Canadians sitting around a kitchen table, asking a simple question. What if dog food felt a bit more… Canadian? Eh?

Not in a maple syrup on everything kind of way. Just done properly. High-quality dog food, made in Canada, with complete and balanced nutrition and ingredients that hold up over time, the kind you don’t have to think twice about.

We kept things close to home, too. Working with Canadian farmers and suppliers, supporting the same communities we’re part of, and keeping things local.

That’s really it. An idea, a few Canadians, and a promise to put our money where our maple leaf is by creating a food that makes Canadian dog parents proud to support.

Real Food, Real Roots

Our recipes are built the same way as everything we do at Red Leaf; the Canadian way. Made from Canadian fields, freeze-dried like our winter parka, and packed with real ingredients that make tails wag from St. John’s to Victoria.

We’ve got recipes for the small ones, the very big ones, and every dog in between. Big barkers, polite sniffers, loyal couch companions - Canadian dogs through and through. And we’re about the people who feed them, too - folks who believe that where it’s made, and how it’s made, matters. We keep it consistent, make it properly, and give dogs a bowl they look forward to.

Who's Maple?

Hi, I’m Maple. You can find me where the food is. I like to hit my protein goals, so I always have some Red Leaf in my pockets. I love to travel across Canada.

I’ve picked up a few habits over time. I learned some French in Montréal, as well as how to wash down a poutine with Orange Julep like it’s my day job.

In Toronto, I developed a strange obsession with taking the TTC and supporting the Maple Leafs. Gotta back the name, not the results.

In Vancouver, I learned how to cope with being slightly damp, even when it’s not raining. I own a few pairs of cowboy boots thanks to Calgary, and I got into fishing out East. Still not sure I’m doing it right, but I look like I am.
